Following a visit from the Eco Congregation Assessors on Friday 23rd January, St Paul’s has been granted Eco Congegation Status for a second time. The assessors spent some time with the Eco Group, discussing the work that had been undertaken since the last award, as well as our plans for the future. They were impressed with the support and encouragement that the group had received from the congregation and had no hesitation in granting their award.

Thanks to all those who were involved in making this happen.
Sunday 24th January saw the celebration of the conversion of Saint Paul and St. Paul’s Church patronal festival! With the Bishop and Mayor in attendance, both in full regalia, a good time was had by all.
As part of our efforts to help the environment around us, we collect plastic milk bottle tops for recycling.
We now have a large sign, made from 100% recycled materials, with the letters made out of bottle tops themselves!
Many thank to all those who took part in making the sign and all those who give bottle tops!
The tops are collect by a specalist firm who grind them down and sell them to the plastics industry. For every tonne we collect, they pay a small amount which we then give to the Chesnut Tree Hospice.
For more details, please contact Martin Cooke via the Church office.
As the snow begins to melt, the roads and pavements are gently returning to normal. However, some areas, including the Church car park are still snow and ice covered and very slippery – please be careful!
The ladies group has been cancelled this week due to the snow, but the church services are running as normal, and the reamains open.
We pray for those travelling by car, we pray for safety, common sense and lack of haste!
