REAL EASTER EGGS are ON SALE TODAY and in coming weeks
It will be our privilege to welcome Bishop John to preside and preach at the Great Liturgies– Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Liturgy; and Canon Tim Schofield, Precentor of the Cathedral, to lead our meditations at the 7.30 pm Eucharist on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Our Confirmation candidates: please pray regularly for Abdul, Boo, Charlotte, Chris, Danielle, Matthew, Sophie, Tina and Tom, to be confirmed by Bishop John on Easter Sunday morning.
If you wish to give one or more in memory of family and friends, cash (£3 each lily) can be given to Bobbie McWethy, or to the Parish office.
We urgently need more servers – younger or older – for this important role at the Parish Eucharist (carrying candles, cross etc.). To know more, contact Marion Hill Tel: 789858, Sarah Manouch Tel: 537828 or Alison Green Tel: 02392 451250.
The Mayor’s Concert “Music of the Spanish Pilgrims” in the Cathedral on 16th April promises to be wonderfully atmospheric. The renowned Renaissance Choir are singing, all profits to “Children on the Edge”, Chichester based and helping children in the developing world. Tickets from www.chichestertickets.co.uk or Cloisters Shop.
Something New this year at St Paul’s:
on Palm Sunday, April 17th at 8 pm there will be a
SEQUENCE OF MUSIC AND READINGS
for HOLY WEEK with Chantry Quire, conductor Chris Larley
Could you run or help with the plant/produce stall, for which St Paul’s is responsible? If so, please contact Jo Hunt (Tel: 531624). We will need tombola prizes and plants: so start bringing in your tombola prizes now so that we can build up a big stall.
(And if you would like to be a house to house collector it’s not too late to tell Jo!)
Following the visit to 6 Downland Churches last summer the group has asked for a similar visit this year. The 6 Wealden Churches “little gems” will be visited on Tuesday 17th May (group almost full) and Wednesday 25th May leaving St Paul’s at 10.00am. Bring coffee and picnic. Car sharing and back around 3.00pm. Donation to BoS. Anyone interested contact John Richardson, Tel: 536864.
If you (any age) are interested in this next adventure, setting out on August 20th and planning to arrive in Canterbury on August 29th, Bank Holiday, please contact Chris Merrien, Tel: 07913353018.
