Children and Young People

We believe it’s especially important  to be able to welcome people of all ages into the church family, and we currently provide the following activities for babies, children and young people, helping them to find faith, fun and friendship.

Junior Church  – (previously referred to as Sunday school) is held each week for all primary school age children alongside the Sunday 10.00am Parish Eucharist. For more information contact Zena Matthews on  07749 419475 or families@stpaulschichester.org

All Age Eucharist –  On the first Sunday of each month, and on some festivals such as Mothering Sunday or Easter Day, our Eucharist is an All Age Service when members of the junior church remain throughout the service and participate by reading  the bible readings and leading the prayers (known as intercessions).

Little Sparks-  (Drop-in Creche) During the Sunday 10am Parish Eucharist, the littlest children in church come and play in the Parish Centre when they need a break from sitting still. Open to any little ones (and their grown up) from birth to starting school. For more information contact Kate Henwood 07818 691922

Ignite Youth Club for school years 3-6 – Our fun youth group for primary school aged children meets on Friday afternoons in term time, between 4.30pm and 5.30pm in the Parish Centre. For more information contact our Youth and Children’s worker, Steve Palmer on 07905 072807 or email youth@stpaulschichester.org

Pilgrimages to Walsingham – The Diocese of Chichester organise both a Children’s and Young Peoples pilgrimage to Walsingham each year. Revd.Paul Matthews and Zena Matthews, our Schools and Families worker, organise  groups from St Paul’s to each of these and accompany our children.
