8 September: Information sharing with Fr Simon: after the Sunday Eucharist-an opportunity for us to update you on progress with the parish centre redevelopment and to let you know of special events planned for the autumn.
14 September: St Paul's sponsored 'Ride and Stride'; 9am-5pm-a walking or cycling challenge to raise funds for both St Paul’s and the Sussex Historic Churches trust. Routes are planned to suit all ages and abilities. If you are interested in participating please sign up on the noticeboard next to the double doors to the Parish centre or speak to Mthr Martha or Liz Yonge.
21 September: Parish Pilgrimage to Canterbury by coach On arrival we shall celebrate the Eucharist together in the beautiful Greyfriars Chapel, which is built over the River Stour in the centre of the city. It dates from the arrival of the very first Franciscans in England in 1224, and is in regular use by the Anglican community that lives nearby. Later in the day we will be able to attend Choral Evensong in Canterbury Cathedral, and in between there will be plenty of opportunities for sightseeing, quiet reflection or shopping. The pilgrimage will have our Redevelopment Project as its prayer intention. Sign up at the back of the church to book your seat on the coach; cost £20
Fr Simon intends to walk the ancient Pilgrims Way from Winchester to Canterbury as a way of publicising our Redevelopment Project leaving on Thursday 12th to arrive to meet everyone in Canterbury on Saturday 21st; he is happy to have anyone join him for a day.
28 September : Our next Jumble Sale. Items for sale can be delivered to church from Monday 22 September onwards. Offers of help Friday set up, sale and clear up- contact the office 533403.
10 October: Group Leaders and Staff Training Day 2pm star;Speaker Lynda Goncalves from Sussex Human Resource working in partnership with the Diocese of Chichester.
Saturday 19 October- Mission Barn Dance
Sunday 20 October, Parish Eucharist Joint service for St Peter's & St Paul's 'JUBILATE' : A service of Thanksgiving for 25 years of Ordination of Women to the Priesthood. Martha, Rachael, Sue, Brenda and Clare are preparing a special service in which they will all take part; please put a date in your diary so that we may all celebrate together.
